     In Indianapolis, Center Township, Marion County, Indiana, she appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 4 June 1900 in the household of her parents Jesse and Susan Albertson. She was listed as Esther T. Albertson, born Mar 1889 in Indiana with her occupation being at school.2
     She married Isaac Rice in Indianapolis, Center County, Indiana, on 15 June 1908.3,4
     In Manson Precinct, Chelan County, Washington, Esther and Isaac appeared on the 1930 U.S. census taken on 8 April 1930. He was listed as Ike R Rice, age 45, married at age 24, born in Kentucky, living in a rented home, working as a farm operator on a general farm. She was shown as Esther T. Rice, wife, age 41, first married at age 20, born in Indiana. Also in the household were Esther's cousin Buena and her husband Robert Ramsey.5 Esther Rice of Washington state was listed as a surviving child in the obituary of Jesse Christopher Albertson on 8 January 1940.6 Esther became a widow at her husband's death on 15 March 1968.4,7
     Esther died on 26 April 1969 in Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, at age 80.3 She was buried at Wenatchee Cemetery, Wenatchee, Chelan County, Washington.8
     An obituary for Esther Rice was published in the Wenatchee Daily World, Wenatchee, Washington on 28 April 1969. It read:
Esther Tacy Rice, 80, a former Wenatchee resident, died Saturday in an Emonds[sic] nursing home following a lingering illness. Mrs. Rice was born March 10, 1889, in Hendricks County, Ind., and spent most of her early life in the Indianapolis area. On June 15, 1908, she married Isaac Rice in Indianapolis, Ind. They traveled the United States and Canada extensively for many years and came to East Wenatchee in 1922. They owned and operated the Wenatchee Home Sanitarium in 1928-1929. Later they were orchardists in this area before moving to Bremeton in 1942. Mrs. Rice was a charter membrer of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Wenatchee. Isaac Rice preceded her in death in 1968. Survivors include two sister, Mrs. Sabina Wayne, Terra Haute, Ind., and Mrs. Gertrude Herren, Valparaiso, Ind; and several nieces and nephews, including: Mrs. Wilma Waters, Mrs. Clara Petersen and Carol Rice, all of Wenatchee, and Wayne Rice, Cashmere. Betts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.3

Isaac (Ike) Rice. Isaac Rice, 84, a former Wenatchee resident, died in Kirkland Saturday. He was born Sept. 19, 1883, in Franklin County, Ky. He traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada as a glass bottle-blower. In 1922 he came to East Wenatchee and established an orchard. In 1928 and 1929 he owned and operated the Wenatchee Home Sanitarium. He moved to Bremerton in 1942 and was employed as a ship fitter until retiring. He was a charter member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He is survivied by his widow, Esther; three brothers, Roy Rice, Miami, Fla; Otis Rice, Indianapolis, Ind., and Everett Rice, Bremerton; and one sister, Roberta Moore of Indianapolis. Betts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.1
