     Sadie appeared on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 15 April 1910 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. She was a lodger in the household of Frank Freeman. She was enumerated as Sadie Richter, a cook in a restaurant, age 36, born in Oregon, married for 1 year, 3 children, all living.⁶

     Sarah died on 10 April 1947 at Oregon State Hospital in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, at age 74.^10,4
     An obituary for Sarah Richter was published in the Eugene Register Guard, Eugene, Oregon on 12 April 1947. It read:

     On 5 June 1880 in Coast Fork Precinct, Lane County, Oregon, he appeared on the 1880 U.S. census in the household of his parents Alexander and Rebecca Margaret Monroe. His listing showed James E. Monroe, age 6, born in Oregon.²
     He married Delphia C. Gillis in Lane County, Oregon, on 27 April 1898.⁴
     In Colfax, Whitman County, Washington, James and Delphia appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 25 June 1900. He was enumerated as James E Monroe, age 27, born May 1873 in Oregon, married for 2 years, occupation day laborer. She was shown as Delphia Monroe, age 22, born May 1878 in Washington. She had 1 child who was living. Also in the household were their daughter Gladys age 9/12, born Aug 1899 in Washington, and their niece, Myrtle Marketta, age 10, born Nov 1889 in Oregon.⁵
