  2. [S792] Conclusion of researcher, Joanne Skelton, Williams book gives date as about 1770. Census research in North Carolina shows the following:
    1800 age 16-26 dates 1774-1784
    1810 age 26-45 dates 1765-1784
    1820 age 26-45 dates 1775-1794
This cuts the dates to 1775 to 1784, he acted as executor of his father's will in 1800, so if he was 21, dates would be 1775 to 1779.He was married in 1797, his wife was born in 1773, so used the earliest date shown.

Note that the two pages in Hinshaw are different. The entry for Perquimans Monthly Meeting says 5-18-1736 and for Suttons Creek Monthly Meeting it says 7-29-1739. I believe that the Suttons Creek entry was written much later, since that meeting was not begun until 1794. I believe they used the new style of dating which began in 1752, where 11 days had been added and the year beginning in Jan, rather than March. I have used the new style date. I also used the year 1739, since the 1736 date does not give adequate time after the previous child's birth.
