She professed faith in Christ early in life and united with the M.E. church, of which she has lived a faithful member. Her influence was felt in home and community. On December 22 she quietly slipped away to be with Jesus, leaving a husband and three children, two brothers, Henry and Jess Windom, and two sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. December 24 she was taken to the cemetery and tenderly laid to rest. Rev. C. P. Bailey conducting the services, and the entire neighborhood being present. "Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, from which none ever awakes to weep". A Friend.4

Bond, age 54, born in Oct 1845 in Iowa, a school teacher, married for 14 years. She was shown as Annie L. Bond, wife, age 38, born Apr 1862 in Iowa, with one living child, occupation doctor. Their daughter Ruth, age 9, was living with them.3 A biography of Annie was published in the Biographical Record of San Joaquin Valley, California in 1905.2
