     In West Halsey Precinct, Linn County, Oregon, Matilda and Fred appeared on the 1930 U.S. census taken on 29 April 1930. He was listed as Fred Falk, farmer on general farm, age 52, first married at age 26, born in Wisconsin, his parents born in Germany. She was shown as Matilda Falk, wife, age 51, first married at age 25, born in Iowa, her parents born in Norway.. Their children Webster, Arlie, Andrew and Delma were listed as living with them.3

Monmouth--Mrs. Matilda Tweed Falk died at the family home, south of Monmouth, January 21, at the age of 62 years. She was born at Wesley, Iowa, August 14, 1878. She came with her parents from Iowa in 1901 to Silverton, Ore. She was married there in 1903 to Fred W. Falk and moved to Halsey where they made their home for many years, coming to Monmouth in 1935. Surviving here are her husband, Fred W. Falk, and four children, Webster, Arlie and Andrew Falk, Monmouth, and Delma Brinkard [sic] of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, three brothers, John Tweed, Portland; Ernest Tweed, Toppenish, Wash., and Ansel Tweed, Bremerton, Wash., and a sister, Stella Tweed, San Francisco, Calif. At an early age Mrs. Falk affiliated with the Lutheran church. Services were from the Smith-Baun chapel in Monmouth, Thursday, January 23, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Luhr of Silverton officiated. Interment was in Fir Crest cemetery, Monmouth.5

Survivors include the widow, Julia; a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Bellford [sic] of Salem; four sons, Fred of Monmouth, Arthur of Portland, David of Memphis, Tenn. and Ray of Corvallis; a sister, Mrs. Dale Drainkard [sic] of Harrisburg; a brother, Arlie, of Salem; and eight grandchildren.5
He was buried on 29 January 1973 in Fircrest Cemetery, Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon.5,6

Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Matilda Bedford of Salem; sons, Arthur James Falk of Pilot Rock, Texas and Ray Earl Falk of Corvallis; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services were March 21 at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence and vault interment was at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.2

     An obituary for Delma Carolyn Drinkard was published in the Albany Democrat Herald, Albany, Oregon on 31 July 2013. It read:
Jan 31 1915-July 27, 2013. Delma Carolyn Falk Drinkard, 98, passed away at her home on Saturday. Delma was born at home to her parents, Fred and Matilda Falk, on their farm 2 1/2 miles south of Halsey. She joined three older brother Webster, Arlie and Andrew. She walked 1 1/2 miles each way to attend Brandon School during her grade school years, then graduated from Halsey High Schhol in 1933. After working a year to earn money for college, she entered Oregon Normal School in Monmouth in the fall of 1934 and received her teaching credentials from there in June 1936. She taught in Wells School in 1936-37 in a community that ceased to exist when the Army built Camp Adair during World War II. During the 1937-39 school years, she taught in her one-room grade school alma mater, Brandon. After her daughters were both in school, she began substitute teaching in the Harrisburg, Junction City and Wyatt school districts and did so until she retired at age 71. She treasured the memories of her teaching years. On June 19,1937, Delma married Dale Drinkard and moved to his farm near Harrisburg, where she spent the remainder of her life. She loved her life on the farm and all that came with it -- from milking cows to gardening preserving foods and sewing. She was a member of the Harrisburg Christian Church and the Harrisburg Senior Center, as well as belonging to both Charity Grange and the Rowland community's ODO Club for over 70 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Caldwell of Portland and Dalene Nelson of Harrisburg; son-in-law Rod Nelson of Harrisburg; and grandson Doug Nelson of Portland. She was predeceased by her husband, Dale, her parents, her brothers, son-in-law Ed Caldwell and grandson Frankie Nelson. A memorial service will be at 11 am Saturday, Aug 3, at Harrisburg Christian Church. Dlema passed peacefully with the compassionate help of Samaritan Evergreen Hospice and would like any remembrances be directed to them at Albany General Hospital Foundation, 1046 Sixth St. S. Drinkard was born Jan. 19, 1912, in Halsey to Homer and Emma Cooley Drinkard. He married Delma Falk on June 19, 1937, in Lebanon. He graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1930. He had worked as a farmer. He belonged to the Charity Grange, Harrisburg Christian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards and sports. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Caldwell and Dalene Nelson, both of Portland; and one grandchild. A grandson, Frnakie Nelson, died in 1984. Wednesday's service will be held at 11 a.m. at Harrisburg Christian Church. Private inurnment will be in Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg. Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contgributions may be made to the Harrisburg Fire Department, The Salvation Army or the Eugene Mission.2
He was buried on 21 September 2005 in Alford Cemetery, between Halsey and Harrisburg, Linn County, Oregon.2,3 His grave marker inscription reads: DRINKARD. Robert Dale. Jan 19, 1912. Sept 17,2005.3

     She married Adolph Leonard Falk, son of Charles Ludwig Falk and Odelia Salvienia Rike, on 2 February 1910.1
     She appeared in the household of Charles Ludwig Falk on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 21 April 1910 in Hasey Precinct, Linn County, Oregon. She was shown as Apola, daughter-in-law, age 18, born in Oregon, married within the year. She was there with her husband Adolph.3
     On 31 January 1920 Eola and Adolph appeared on the 1920 U.S. census taken in West Halsey Precinct, Linn County, Oregon. He was listed as Adolph Falk, age 32, born in Iowa. She was shown as Eola Falk, age 29, born in Oregon. Their children Mamie and Howard were listed as living with them.4

She was enumerated as Eola Falk, age 48, born in Oregon and had completed 8 grades in school. In 1935 they had lived in a rural location in Linn County, Oregon.. Their children Howard, Gilbert, Bertha and Arlene were listed as living with them.6
     Eola died on 28 October 1954 in Dallas, Polk County, Oregon, at age 62.1,7 She was buried at Fircrest Cemetery, Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon.8

Howard Falk. March 17, 1915 - July 7, 1998. Howard Leonard Falk of Dallas died July 7 in Salem. He was 83. He was born near Halsey to Adolph and Eola Bilyeu Falk. He grew up in the Halsey, Brownsville, Harrisburg and Albany areas. A farmer in the Airlie area for a number of years, he also worked as a custodian for Polk County, retiring in 1977. As a young man he was a rodeo rider and bucked cattle. He also loved to train horses. After moving to Dallas in 1959 he was in the tree-trimming business in Dallas for 37 years, working up until a month ago. He was well-known for his ability to climb high, which he enjoyed doing until shortly before his death. He was a master at working around electrical outlets and power lines. Survivors include his wife, Mae of Dallas; daughters, Elaine Ashley and Carol Englund, both of Dallas; a brother, Gilbert Falk of Terrebonne; sisters, marie Decker of Spokane, Wash. and Arlene Goens of Lafayette, Calif; and two grandchildren. Services were held July 11 at the Dallas Mortuary Chapel. Private interment followed in the Dallas Cemetery.5

     She married Howard Leonard Falk, son of Adolph Leonard Falk and Eola Dell Bilyeau, in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, on 23 November 1945.1 Mae became a widow at her husband's death on 7 July 1998.3
     Mae died on 20 June 2000 in Dallas, Polk County, Oregon, at age 80.4
     An obituary for Mae Lorene Falk was published in the StatemanJournal.com, Salem, Oregon in June 2000. It read:
Mae Lorene Falk April 18, 1920 - June 20, 2000. DALLAS -- Mae Falk, 80, died Tuesday. She was born in Dallas and attended local and California schools before graduating from Dallas High School in 1938. She was a housekeeper, telegraph office secretary and 4-H secretary and worked at the Salem Servicemen's Center until 1946. She married Howard in 1945, and they worked various farms until moving to Dallas in 1959. She was a secretary for Polk County Civil Defense, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed camping, photography and traveling. Her husband died in 1998. Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Ashley and Carol Englund, both of Dallas, two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visiting will be 1-8 p.m. today at Dallas Mortuary Chapel. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.2
