     Katharine Mathilde Drone was born on 6 September 1862 in Muscoda, Grant County, Wisconsin.1 She was the daughter of Andrew Washington Drone and Angelina Clark.2
     In 1880 in Muscoda, Grant County, Wisconsin, she appeared on the 1880 U.S. census in the household of her parents Andrew and Angelina Drone. She was shown as Catharina M. Drone, age 17.3
     She married Leonard Falk, son of Ludwig Falk and Anna Louise Boehm, in Grant County, Wisconsin, on 1 February 1883.4
     In Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, Katharine and Leonard appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 11 June 1900. His listing showed Leonard Falk, age 39, born Sep 1860 in Wisconsin, occupation farmer. She was enumerated as Cathrine Falk, wife, age 36, born Sep 1863 in Illinois. They had been married 17 years with 8 children, all living. Their children George, Angeline, Lora, Andrew, Edward, Herbert, Herman and Alfred were listed as living with them. Also in the household were Anna Elizabeth Drone and John Justice Drone.5
     Katharine and Leonard appeared on the state census in Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, in 1905. They were listed as Leonard and Catherine Metilda Faulk with their post office address Burt, Iowa. Their children George, Angeline, Lora, Andrew, Edward, Herbert, Herman, Alfred and Paul were listed as living with them. Also in their household was his sister's daughter Anna Elizabeth Drone.6
     Katharine and Leonard appeared on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 18 April 1910 in Orleans Precinct, Linn County, Oregon. He was enumerated as Leonard Falk, age 49, born in Wisconsin, a farmer on a general farm. She was listed as Krethren Falk, age 47, born in Wisconsin, married for 27 years, 9 children, all living. Their children Angeline, Andrew, Edward, Herbert, Herman, Alfred and Paul were listed as living with them.7
     Katharine died on 10 October 1914 in Linn County, Oregon, at age 52.1,8 She was buried at Orleans Cemetery, Linn County, Oregon.1,9,10 The inscription on her grave marker reads: FALK, KATHERENE M. 1862-1914, on marker with husband.10
     An obituary for Katharine Mathilde Falk was published in the Grant County Democrat, Muscoda, Wisconsin on 23 October 1914. It read:
Katie Drone Dead. The Drone family a few days ago received the news of the death of the oldest sister in the family, Mrs. Leonard Falk, formerly Miss Katie Drone. He (sic) home was in Albany, Ore., and she is survived by her husband and nine children. The cause of death was apoplexy and it occurred Oct. 10. She has been away from this country about twenty-five years. Owing to her sudden death and the great distance, the family here made no attempt to go out there.11

     Dorothy Oestreich was born on 27 April 1866 in Mecklenburg, Germany.1
     She married John Ropers about 1887.2
     In Benton Township, Ottawa County, Ohio, she appeared in the household of John Ropers on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 15 June 1900. She was listed as Dora Ropers, wife, age 34, born Apr 1866, in Germany, married for 13 years and no children. Her parents, John and Dora Oestreich, were also in the household.2
     Dorothy and John appeared on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 15 April 1910 in Woodward Township, Woodward County, Oklahoma. He was shown as John Ropers, age 50, married for 24 years, born in Germany, immigrated in 1882, naturalized, occupation farmer on a general farm. She was shown as Dora T. Ropers, wife, age 44, born in Germany, married for 24 years with no children. Others in the household were Dora's father John Oestreich, and a 15 year old Minnie listed as daughter. However her parents birthplaces were listed as Ohio, so it is unclear how she is related to the family.3
     On 12 January 1920 Dorothy and John appeared on the 1920 U.S. census taken in Monitor Precinct, Marion County, Oregon. He was enumerated as John Ropers, age 59, born in Germany, immgrated in 1886 and naturalized in 1892. He lived on an owned farm and his occupation as farmer on a general farm was crossed out and changed to none. She was listed as Dorothy Ropers, wife, age 53, born in Germany, with Micklenburg being first written, but was crossed out. It gave her immigration date as 1884 and naturalization as 1892. They lived next door to the Albert Falk household.4 Dorothy became a widow at her husband's death on 15 December 1921.5
     She married Leonard Falk, son of Ludwig Falk and Anna Louise Boehm, in Oregon after 1921.6
     In Monitor Precinct, Marion County, Oregon, Dorothy and Leonard appeared on the 1930 U.S. census taken on 21 April 1930. He was listed as Leonard Falk, age 69, first married at 22, born in Wisconsin, parents born in Germany. He was a farmer on a general farm. Her name was shown as Dorothy Falk. She was age 63, born in Germany, immigrating to the United States in 1882 and was naturalized.. His brother Albert's family was living next door.7
     Dorothy died on 10 February 1940 in Marion County, Oregon, at age 73.1,8

     George Leonard Falk was born on 10 January 1884 in Pulaski Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin.1,2,3 He was the son of Leonard Falk and Katharine Mathilde Drone. George Leonard Falk was baptized on 17 March 1884 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Muscoda, Grant County, Wisconsin.1
     In Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, he appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 11 June 1900 in the household of his parents Leonard and Katharine Mathilde Falk. He was listed as George falk, age 16, born Jan 1884 in Wisconsin. He had attended school during the previous year.4
     George Leonard Falk appeared on the 1905 state census in Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, in 1905, in the household of his parents, Leonard Falk and Katharine Mathilde Falk. He was shown as George Leonard Falk, post office address Burt, Iowa.5
     He married May M. Brady, daughter of Ferdinand Brady and Delilah Barratt, in Halsey, Linn County, Oregon, on 18 June 1907.6,7 A newspaper article was printed on 22 June 1907 in the Daily Capital Journal, Salem, Oregon naming George. It read: Celebrated the Wedding. Mr. and Mrs. George Falk, who were married Tuesday in Halsey, were agreeably surprised last night by a large crowd of the street car employes, at their home in South Salem. At a late hour last night, about 20 fellow workman of the Portland General Electric gathered around Mr. Falk's residence and soon announced their presence by firing a fusilade with shotguns and the "whanging" of innumerable cans. The boys were invited in by the genial host and hostess, who were presented with an elegant leather upholstered rocker, a gift from the car boys. A luncheon of strawberries, cream and cake was served, and the guests departed, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Falk continued happiness.8
     Another newspaper article was printed on 30 April 1908 in the Daily Capital Journal, Salem, Oregon naming George. It read: Motorman Stopped Car Just Right. Little Alfred Ackley, the 3-year-old son of Mrs. Alfred Ackley, narrowly escaped death, or at least horrible mutilation, yesterday afternoon when he caught his foot between the rail proper and a guard rail on the streetcar tracks just beyond the curve made on the other side of Mill creek. The hero of the occasion is motorman George Falk of car No. 26, which was bearing down under full speed, when Falk caught sight of the waving handkerchief in the hands of the child's mother; putting on his breaks to the furtherest tension and reversing the current, Falk stood by his post without losing his nerve and brought the car to a complete stop within a few feet of where the little tot stood caught as in a steel trap.9
     He appeared in the household of Ferdinand and Delilah Brady on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 29 April 1910 in Liberty Precinct, Marion County, Oregon. The Bradys were his wife's parents. She was also listed with him. George was enumerated as George L. Falk, son-in-law, age 26, born in Wisconsin, married for 2 years, occupation sawyer in a chair factory.10 A newspaper article was printed on 1 August 1914 in the Daily Capital Journal, Salem, Oregon naming George. It read: Leaving early Monday....Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Falk and Mr. and Mrs. George Falk will go by auto to the Cascade mountains where they will spend a week rusticating and enjoying camp life.11
     George Leonard Falk registered for the WWI draft on 12 September 1918 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. His address was Menlo Hotel in Portland, his occupation: charge of stock room, cutlery at Marshall Fields Hdwe Co. His nearest relative was May Falk, Salem, Oregon. His description was short, medium build, gray eyes and brown hair.12 A newspaper article was printed on 25 December 1923 in the Morning Oregonian, Portland, Oregon naming George. It read: Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash with Auto. Injuries may prove fatal to G. L. Falk. With a small fracture and other injuries that probably will be fatal, G. L. Falk, employe of Backus & Morris, late last night was removed to St. Vincent's hospital, following a spill from a motorcycle at Corbett and Dakota streets. Henry Winans of 207 Pennoyer street, who was driving south on Corbett street, saw the motorcycle turned over and Falk thrown to one side. Investigation by Motorcycle Patrolman Hammersley, showed that Falk was attempting to pass the Winans machine and as he drew up his motorcycle caught in the rear of the automobile and caused him to skid on the wet pavement. Wimans was brought to the station and after an examination was released.13                     
     George died on 25 December 1923 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, at age 39.14,3,15 He was buried on 28 December 1923 in River View Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.15 His grave marker inscription reads: GEORGE L. FALK. 1884-1923.15

They had been living in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, in 1935.8 Angeline became a widow at her husband's death on 8 April 1963.9,6,10
     Angeline died on 8 July 1973 in Oregon at age 87.11,2
     An obituary for Angeline Katharine Caldwell was published in the Newport News-Lincoln County Times, Newport, Oregon on 12 July 1973. It read:
ANGELINE K. CALDWELL Graveside funeral services for Angeline K. Caldwell, aged 87, of Waldport, a former resident of Eugene and Albany, are being held Thursday July 12 (today) at 2 p.m. at the Riverside cemetery in Albany. Rev. Charles Reagan of the First Baptist Church is conducting the rites. The Bateman Funeral Chapel of Newport, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Avoca, Wisconsin, on April 5, 1886. She died at her home in Waldport on July 8. She had been a resident of Waldport for the past seven months, coming there from Eugene where she had lived since 1935. Prior to 1935, she had been a resident of Albany. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eugene. She is survived by a son, Seth Caldwell of Waldport; three grandhcildren and eleven great-grandchildren.2
She was buried on 12 July 1973 in Riverside Cemetery, Albany, Linn County, Oregon.12,13 The inscription on her grave marker reads: CALDWELL, ANGELINE K. 1886 - 1973. This is on a double stone with her husband Fred.14

Services Set for Former Resident. Chapel services for Fred Caldwell, a former Albany resident who died Monday in Eugene, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the England Funeral Home, Eugene. Graveside services will follow at the riverside cemetery, Albany at 1 p.m. Dr. Vance H. Webster of the First Baptisa [sic] church, Eugene, will officiate. Mr. Caldwell was born Sept 17, 1883, in Albany and was married to Angeline K. Falk on July 26, 1910. He had been a farmer and at one time worked for the Fisher-Braden Funeral home before moving to Eugene in 1935. He is survived by his widow and one son, Seth, of Rogue River, Ore; two brothers, James of Albany and his twin, Frank, of Monrovia, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Edholm of Albany and Mrs. Meda Chamness of San Diego; two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.1

     An obituary for Fred M. Caldwell was published in an unidentified newspaper, Eugene, Oregon on 9 April 1963. It read:
CALDWELL, Fred, 79, 2335 Alder, Eugene, died April 8, 1963.      In Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, she appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 11 June 1900 in the household of her parents Leonard and Katharine Mathilde Falk. She was enumerated as Laura Falk, age 12, born Aug 1887 in Wisconsin. She was marked as attending school.2
     Lora Anna Falk appeared on the 1905 state census in Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, in 1905, in the household of her parents, Leonard Falk and Katharine Mathilde Falk. She was shown as Laura Anna Faulk, post office address Burt, Iowa.3

She was shown as Laura A Kreger, age 51, born in Iowa. They both had completed the 8th grade. They owned their farm valued at $1000 and had lived at the same house in 1935.. Their children Irvin, Edwin, Alvin and Loren were listed as living with them.6
     On 20 September 1956 Lora Anna Falk and Frederick Kreger had been married 50 years. They celebrated this a few days early on Sunday, 16 Sep 1956 by repeating thier vows at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Albany, Oregon. Their nine children attended the celebration along with about 250 relatives and friends .7 Lora became a widow at her husband's death on 17 June 1962.8
     Lora died on 10 April 1969 in Albany, Linn County, Oregon, at age 80.9,10

Lora Anna Kreger, 80, who lived at the Albany Mennonite Home for the Aged, died Thursday evening at Albany General Hospital. Her funeral will be at Immanuel Lutheran CHurch on Monday at 2 p.m. under the direction of AAsum Funeral Home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Boehne officiating. The family will be at AAsum Funeral Homne to receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The cakset[sic] will be open Monday at the rear of the church from noon to 1:30 p.m. She was born Aug. 15, 1888 in Muscoda, Wisc., moved as a child to Wesley, Iowa and married Frederick Kreger in Plum Creek, Iowa Sept. 20, 1906. THey moved to Oregon in 1912 to farm near Albany, moving into the city in 1948. Her husband preceded her in death in 1962. She has been a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1912 and a charter member of the ladies guild and the laymen's league. She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Mehl of Dallas; seven sons, Herbert of Stayton, Walter and William of Albany, Loren of Scio, Irvin of Turner, Alvin of Blue River and Edwin of Napa, Calif; 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family suggests those who wish may contribute to Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in her memory.11
She was buried on 14 April 1969 in Riverside Cemetery, Albany, Linn County, Oregon.11,12

Survivors include: Wyma Gauche, sister-in-law; Jean M. Raabe, niece; Daniel E. Gauche, nephew; Michael Gauche, great-nephew, all of Eugene.      Paul Bernhard Falk was born on 12 July 1901 in Plum Creek Township, Kossuth County, Iowa.1 He was the son of Leonard Falk and Katharine Mathilde Drone.
     Paul Bernhard Falk appeared on the 1905 state census in Wesley Township, Kossuth County, Iowa, in 1905, in the household of his parents, Leonard Falk and Katharine Mathilde Falk. He was shown as Paul Berhard Faulk, post office address Burt, Iowa.2     
     He appeared on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 18 April 1910 in Orleans Precinct, Linn County, Oregon, in the household of his parents Leonard and Katharine Mathilde Falk. He was shown as Paul Falk, age 8, born in Iowa.3
     On 8 January 1920 he appeared in the household of Fred and Angeline Katharine Caldwell on the 1920 U.S. census taken in 615 West 4th Street, Albany, Linn County, Oregon. He was listed as Paul Falk, brother-in-law, age 18, born in Iowa, a cabinet maker at a furniture factory.4
     He married Anita (?).1
     Paul died on 2 September 1928 in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California, at age 27. His death was due to an auto accident.1 He was buried at Orleans Cemetery, Linn County, Oregon.5,6,1 His grave marker inscription reads: PAUL B. FALK. 1901-1928.7
     An obituary for Paul Bernhard Falk was published in the Oregonian, Portland, Oregon on 8 September 1928. It read:
Albany, Or., Sept 7 -- Paul B. Falk, 27, ex-Linn county resident who was killed Sunday in an automobile accident in San Francisco, was buried here today. Mr. Falk was born at Algona, Ia., July 12, 1901, and came to Albany with his parents in October, 1908. He went to San Francisco in 1923 and was employed there by an ice cream manufacturing company. He is survived by his widow; his father, Leonard Falk, Mt. Angel, Or; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Caldwell, Portland, and Mrs. F. A. Kreger, Salem, and by five brothers, Edward, Herbert and Alfred, Albany; Herman of Eugene and A. W. Falk of Seattle.8

     Frederick William Falk was born on 4 February 1874 in Pulaski Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin.1,2 He was the son of Ludwig Falk and Anna Louise Boehm. Frederick William Falk was also known as William Falk.
     On 12 June 1880 in Pulaski Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin, he appeared on the 1880 U.S. census in the household of his parents Ludwig and Anna Louise Falk. He was listed as William Falk, 7 years old, born in Wisconsin and both parents born in Prussia.3
     He married Ida Louise Schunk in Iowa County, Wisconsin, on 11 December 1894.
     In Pulaski Township, Iowa County, Wisconsin, on 8 June 1900 Frederick William appeared as head of household on the 1900 U.S. census. His name was listed as William, age 27, born Feb 1873 in Wisconsin, with both parents born in Germany. He had been married 5 years and was a farmer. Falk, wife, age 55, first married at age 20, born in Wisconsin and both parents born in Germany. Their children Edwin, George, Theodore, John, Ida and Clara were listed as living with them.8 Frederick became a widower at his wife's death on 16 October 1936.9
     Frederick died on 23 March 1940 in Iowa County, Wisconsin, at age 66.10,11 He was buried at Avoca Cemetery, Avoca, Iowa County, Wisconsin.11,12
     An obituary for Frederick William Falk was published in the Muscoda Progressive, Muscoda, Wisconsin on 28 March 1940. It read:
William Falk, Sr. died at his home Saturday morning. Mr. Falk had been ill for several months.13

     She married Frederick William Falk, son of Ludwig Falk and Anna Louise Boehm, in Iowa County, Wisconsin, on 11 December 1894.

     An obituary for Ida Louise Falk was published in the Muscoda Progressive, Muscoda, Wisconsin on 29 October 1936. It read:
OBITUARY-FALK. Mrs. Wm. Falk nee Ida Louise Schump [sic], was born Oct. 13, 1874, at Milwaukee. At the age of 13, she came with her parents to the town of Pulaski. She received instruction and was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Muscoda. On Dec. 11, 1894, she was united in holy wedlock with Wm. Falk. To this union were born 11 children; seven sons and four daughters. On Sept 18, 1936, she was taken to the Richland hospital, remaining she was called to rest on October 16, at the age of 62 years and three days. Left to mourn are the husband and seven sons, Henry, Walter, Edwin, William, George, Theodore and John; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Pechan of Avoca, Mrs. Wm. Rike of Woden, Iowa; Ida and Clara; four grandchildren, one brother, Edwin Schunk, Avoca and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from St. John's Lutheran church, with Rev. Theo. Ohlrogge officiating. Burial was in the Avoca cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the neighbors and the pallbearers and choir and all those who extended sympathy and kindness during our recent bereavement. F. W. Falk and Children.1

     Lenah Deborah Albertson was born on 23 August 1871 in Hardin County, Iowa.1 She was the daughter of Nathan Elias Albertson and Mary Magdalene Hockett.
     On 14 June 1880 in Grant Township, Hardin County, Iowa, she appeared on the 1880 U.S. census in the household of her parents Nathan and Mary Magdalene Albertson. She was listed as Lenah Albertson, age 8, born in Iowa.2
     In 1885 she appeared in the household of Nathan Elias Albertson on the state census in Township 86, Range 21, Section 12, Grant Township, Hardin County, Iowa. She was listed as Lenna D. Albertson, age 13, born in Hardin County, Iowa.3
     About 1890 in Sherman County, Kansas, she appeared in a photograph with her parents Nathan and Mary Magdalene Albertson.4
     She married George Slaight in Goodland, Sherman County, Kansas, on 27 August 1891.5
     In Afton Township, Sedgwick County, Kansas, she appeared in the household of George Slaight on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 8 June 1900. She was listed as Lenah D. Sleight, wife, age 28, born Aug 1871. She had been married 9 years, with 3 children, all living. Lenah was born in Iowa, her father in Indiana and her mother in Iowa. She could read and write.6 In 1902 Lenah and George moved to Alberta, Canada, along with their three children, Blossom, George Raymond and Henry Wesley.7
     Lenah and George appeared on the 1925 state census in Ross Township, Taylor County, Iowa, on 1 January 1925..8 Lenah became a widow at her husband's death on 30 March 1925.7
     Lenah died on 17 October 1925 in New Market, Taylor County, Iowa, at age 54.9 She was buried at Memory Cemetery, New Market, East River Township, Page County, Iowa.7,10
     An obituary for Lenah Deborah Slaight was published in the Clarinda Herald, Clarinda, Iowa on 26 October 1925. It read:
Roll of the Silent. Mrs. George William Slaight. Lena Debra Albertson was born in Hardin County, Iowa August 23, 1871, and departed this life near Bedford, Iowa, October 17, 1925, at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 24 days. She was united in marriage August 27, 1891 to George William Slaight, who preceded her in death March 30, 1925. To this union were born 3 children Mrs. Blossom Brown of Langley Prairie, Canada; Ray and Wesley Slaight both of Bedford, Iowa. In the year 1902 Mrs. Slaight with her husband and family moved to Canada where they resided until 1919. Upon coming back she resided in Missouri the remainder of her life. She leaves to mourn her loss her three children, three grandchildren, four brothers Arthur and Orin of Oregon; Calvin and Ernest of Kansas, besides many relatives and friends. When just a small girl Mrs. Slaight gave her heart to God uniting with the Quaker church, later transfering her membership to the M. E. Church at New Market. Funeral services were held at the New Market Methodist Church, conducted by the Pastor, Rev. James Wilkins, after which interement was made in the Old Memory Cemetery.7
