     She appeared on the 1850 U.S. census taken on 7 September 1850 in Mahaska County, Iowa, in the household of her parents John and Sarah Bond. She was enumerated as Susan Bond, age 17 born in Illinois.3
     She married Harmon C Davis, son of Isaac Davis and Sarah Cain, in Mahaska County, Iowa, on 12 February 1851.1 In 1852 Susan and Harmon moved to Oregon Territory, traveling over the Oregon Trail by wagon train. Their daughter Sarah went with them.4 On 1 February 1854 Susan and Harmon C Davis settled Donation Land Claim Number 4792 (Oregon City Land Office), in Multnomah County, Oregon Territory described as South 1/2 of the South 1/2 of Section 18 and the North 1/2 of the North 1/2 of Section 19, in Township 1 S, Range 4 E, containing 319.64 acres. Susan's parents' claim was just north of Harmon and Susan's.5 Susan Ione Davis was living in Multnomah County, Oregon Territory, when Oregon became a state on 14 February 1859.6
     On 24 June 1860 Susan and Harmon appeared on the 1860 U.S. census taken in Fairfield Precinct, Marion County, Oregon. He was shown as H.H. Davis, age 26, born in Illinois, a farmer with $2500 vaue of real estate and $350 personal property. Their children Sarah, Isaac, John and Orlando were listed as living with them. Also in their household were Susan's parents, John and Sarah Bond, and Susan's nieces, daughters of her deceased brother James, Caroline Ann Bond and Sarah S Bond.7 Susan and Harmon moved to Washington Territory before 1870. The patent for the Donation Land Claim Number Oregon City 4792 located in Multnomah County, Oregon was issued on 14 June 1877 to Susan and Harmon C Davis.8
     Susan died on 9 August 1906 in Dayton, Columbia County, Washington, at age 73.1

     Harmon C Davis was born on 30 July 1831 in Illinois.1 He was the son of Isaac Davis and Sarah Cain.1
     He married Susan Ione Bond, daughter of John Bond and Sarah Chastain, in Mahaska County, Iowa, on 12 February 1851.1 In 1852 Harmon and Susan moved to Oregon Territory, traveling over the Oregon Trail by wagon train.      Talitha Cumy Belknap was born on 2 December 1824 in Hardin County, Kentucky.1
     She married Samuel Fletcher Starr in Van Buren County, Iowa, on 12 November 1840.1 Talitha became a widow at her husband's death on 1 March 1858 She then had seven children, ages from 16 to 1 and was expecting her eighth child, who was born in July.1
     On 14 July 1860 Talitha appeared on the 1860 U.S. census taken in Lloyds Precinct, Benton County, Oregon. She was listed as Tabitha C. Starr, age 35, born in Kentucky, occupation farmer with real estate valued at $1500 and personal property $1800. Also in the household were the younger seven of her children: Leander, Moses, Sarah, Hannah, Mary, Ranson and Samuel. Talitha's oldest daughter Elizabeth had married in 1859.2
     She married William Bond, son of John Bond and Sarah Chastain, in Benton County, Oregon, on 11 September 1862.1,3 It is probable that their household now included ten chilldren, Talitha's seven unmarried children and William's three sons.4 Talitha became a widow at her husband's death on 1 May 1865.
     She married Washington Marcus Waltz in Starr's Point, Benton County, Oregon, on 10 August 1867.1 At the time of their marriage it is probable that the sons of William Bond (Talitha's deceased husband) had left the household, but William and Talitha's daughter was still there, as well as five of Talitha's other children from her first marriage. Washington would bring three sons to the household, for a total of nine children.4
     In Starr's Point, Benton County, Oregon, she appeared on the 1870 U.S. census in the household of Washington Marcus Waltz on 6 August 1870.5 Talitha became a widow at her husband's death on 6 January 1900.1
     Talitha died on 30 October 1906 in Berkeley, Alameda County, California, at age 81.1

     Sarah Talitha Starr was born on 29 March 1851 in Benton County, Oregon.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Fletcher Starr and Talitha Cumy Belknap.1
     On 14 July 1860 she appeared in the household of Talitha Cumy Belknap on the 1860 U.S. census taken in Lloyds Precinct, Benton County, Oregon.2
     She married James Monroe Bond, son of William Bond and Hannah Hayes, at Simpson Chapel in Alpine, Benton County, Oregon, on 11 November 1866.1 Their marriage was the next year after James' father died. Sarah's mother and James' father had been married from 1862 to 1865, so apparently James and Sarah lived in the same household during that time.3 In 1868 Sarah and James moved to California.4
     In San Joaquin Township, Stanislaus County, California, on 10 August 1870 Sarah and James appeared on the 1870 U.S. census. He was listed as James Bond, age 21, born in Iowa, a farmer with real estate value of $1000 and personal property of $725. She was listed as Sarah Bond, age 19, born in Oregon, keeping house. Other members of the household included two children: Emma age 2 and William age 1/12.5
     In June 1880 in Lemoore, Tulare County, California, Sarah and James appeared on the 1880 U.S. census. James was a farmer, age 32, born in Iowa and Sarah was shown as wife, keeps house, age 29, born in Oregon. Their children in the household included Emma, William T, Ernest, Elmer, Frank and Walter.6
     In Hanford, Lucerne Township, Kings County, California, Sarah and James appeared on the 1900 U.S. census taken on 28 June 1900. He was listed as James M. Bond, age 52, born Nov 1847 in Iowa, occupation physician and surgeon. She was shown as Sarah T. Bond, wife, age 49, born Mar 1849 in Oregon. Their children who were living with them were Elmer C, Frank S, Walter G, Edith I, Jessie M, Charles L and Harry C..7
     Sarah and James appeared on the 1910 U.S. census taken on 14 August 1910 at Arizona Sanitarium in Maricopa County, Arizona. James was age 62, born in Iowa, a physician at the Arizona Sanitarium. Sarah was listed as Sara T. Bond, wife, age 59, married for 43 years with 10 children, all living. Sarah was a nurse at the Sanitarium. Others in the household included their 28 year old daughter Edith Dillon, also a nurse at the Sanitarium, and her husband Isaac who was an Adventist minister and their 7 year old son Anistron. More of James and Sarah's children were also listed: 25 year old Jessie, a school teacher; 19 year old Harry, a farmer ; and 11 year old Mildred. The census grouping also included other boarders and employees.8 Sarah became a widow at her husband's death on 22 March 1914.9,10
     On 6 January 1920 Sarah appeared on the 1920 U.S. census taken in Fresno, Fresno County, California. She was listed as Sarah T. Bond, age 68, born in Oregon, shown as mother-in-law in the household of her daughter and husband, Emma and I.A. Wheeler. He was a doctor in a private home and Sarah was listed as a practical nurse. Two of Emma's children were listed as well as a number of boarders..11
     Sarah died on 23 May 1936 in Kings County, California, at age 85.1,12
     An obituary for Sarah Talitha Bond was published in Pacific Union Recorder, California on 16 September 1936. It read:
BOND--Sarah R. Starr was born in Monroe, Ore., March 29, 1851. In 1866 she was married to James M. Bond, and to this union were born 11 children. Brother Bond completed the medical course in 1893 and after more than 20 years of sucessful practice he was called to his rest. Twelve years later Sister Bond was married to Ebenezer Bond, a brother of her first husband, who passed away after eight years. Sister Bond fell asleep in Jesus, May 21, 1936. She was in every sense a Christian, her home was a place of peace. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Emma A. Wheeler, Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Dr. E. C. Bond, Elder Lester Bond, and Mrs. Fred Bennett. Services were conducted by Elder L. E. Folkenberg and the writer. H. G. THOMPSON.13

     Hannah Matilda Starr was born on 13 March 1853 in Monroe, Benton County, Oregon.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Fletcher Starr and Talitha Cumy Belknap.1
     On 14 July 1860 she appeared in the household of Talitha Cumy Belknap on the 1860 U.S. census taken in Lloyds Precinct, Benton County, Oregon.2
     In Starr's Point, Benton County, Oregon, she appeared on the 1870 U.S. census in the household of Washington Marcus Waltz on 6 August 1870.3
     She married Samuel M. Driver at Simpson Chapel in Alpine, Benton County, Oregon, on 28 December 1872.1

     Mary Emeline Starr was born on 20 September 1854 in Starr's Point, Benton County, Oregon.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Fletcher Starr and Talitha Cumy Belknap.1
     On 14 July 1860 she appeared in the household of Talitha Cumy Belknap on the 1860 U.S. census taken in Lloyds Precinct, Benton County, Oregon.2
     In Starr's Point, Benton County, Oregon, she appeared on the 1870 U.S. census in the household of Washington Marcus Waltz on 6 August 1870.3
     She married Harry Washington Waltz, son of Washington Marcus Waltz and Lucy Marion Child, at Simpson Chapel in Alpine, Benton County, Oregon, on 18 June 1876.1
     Mary died on 8 May 1946 at age 91.1
